～ショスタコ交響曲全曲演奏プロジェクト・井上道義を追う～ 【2】

【2】 ご存知でした？チラシは３種類あった！

知る人ぞ知る、今回のプロジェクトのチラシは決定版が出来上がるまで、白黒仮チラシ、紺地に金文字チラシ、そして決定版スカイブルー地と３種類の変遷があった。
シンボルマークデザインの河合秀昭氏と井上との渾身の作品とも言える。
決定版を初めて見た時の衝撃。ここまでやるのか！そう、これがタコであり、井上なのだ、とチラシ表紙を見て誰もが納得する。

そして中には、井上の、プロジェクトに寄せる熱い思いと、全８回演奏会ごとのコメントが、生きた言葉で語られる。決定版表紙下段には、小さな文字で「このシンボルマークは、右上から順にメガネをかけたショスタコーヴィチの横顔、旧ソヴィエト連邦の国旗の槌、ロシア正教の十字架、ショスタコーヴィチが好きだったサッカーを表現したもの」とある。

河合氏は、井上とは20年来の知人で、かつて、井上が新日本フィルの音楽監督をしていた時代に、定期演奏会のプログラム表紙デザイン画を描いていた縁という。
彼は、かなりマニアックなクラシックファンの一人だが、その彼が、タコの音楽を聴きふけり、智恵をしぼりにしぼって、たどり着いたのがこのシンボルマークなのだ。
今、私たちは、この簡潔なシンボルと、スカイブルーに黄色文字という、なんともキワドイ色彩の中に、ソビエト的なものを、感じずにはいられない。

ちなみに、チラシ本文中の井上のコメントは、多少の変化を見せている。
決定版が流布していると考え、せっかくなので、紺地版での彼のコメントをここに記しておこうと思う。

～ショスタコーヴィチに勝る現代作曲家はいない～ 　彼以外にあのように『強い、男の芸術』を打ち立てた人はいない。優しさなぞは誰にだって表現できるが、ショスタコーヴィチのように危険な毒を振りまきながら、虫一匹殺さず、しかし100万人を殺した独裁者にさえ恐れられ、自信に満ちた人生を送ることが現代人の最も強い願望ではないだろうか？彼はきっとすべての偉人のように愛すべき小心者で、普通の家庭人であったに違いない。 　しかし心の中の自由さにおいて、また才能の発露において、彼は自分の限界を恐れなかった。 そのようなものは、無きに等しかったのではなかろうか？ 　私も、彼のように自由なアイディアの爪を隠し、何者かに命を脅かされ、自論を曲げさせられても、すぐに曲げさせた相手から賞賛を獲さえすれども、それらすべてを裏切って、実は自論を間違いなく表現することが出来る様な能力が欲しい！ 　もちろん詭弁などではなく、人類の宝にさえなる作品を残すことで。安っぽい常識、にこやかな笑顔、良い人と思われる技術などを駆使して、滑らかに人の中を泳ぐ能力などではなく、ただただ「その人以外の何者でもない存在」になりたい。 　日比谷公会堂はそんなことを一度でも思ったことのある人の殿堂ではないだろうか？ 　「高さを競うなんて古いな」と言いたげな建物に見えるのだ。 井上道義

[2] Do you know there were 3 types of fliers?
To people in the know, before definite edition of the flier is ready, it went through changes such as the monochrome tentative flier, the flier with the golden letters on a royal blue background, then the sky-blue definite edition. It was the challenging work by the symbol mark designer Mr. Hideaki kawai as well as Inoue. It came as a shock when first saw the edition. What an effort had been made in getting the edition this far! Indeed, everybody would be satisfied taking a look at the flier; this is how "Shostakovich" is and also how Inoue is.
Inoue's passion for the project and his lively comments for each of total 8 concerts are made in the flier.

～There is no contemporary composer like Shostakovich～

Nobody was more successful in establishing "strong, man's art" than him. While everybody is able to express his/her tenderness, Shostakovich led his life with confident, scattering the dangerous poison though killing no bug, but being a fearsome person even for the dictator who killed a million people-- Isn't it the aspiration of modern people? As other great men, he must have been a lovable timid person as well as normal person with family. However, to his freedom in his heart, or to his discharge of emotion, he was not afraid of his limits. I suspect he did not have any fear like that. I would like to have the ability like him, to express my mantra as large as life even if I achieved acclaim from someone soon after that someone life-threatened me and bended my mantra--of course, not by sophistry, but by leaving the work of music which can be a treasure for human beings. I would like to be a "person nothing except for him" instead of having ability to have good relationships with people using cheap morals, smiling face, and skills to be seen a nice person.
Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya Public Hall is the place for those who have once thought of it. The building seems to say, "It's old-fashioned to compete for heights."
